| Subject: | AB 1012 Advisory Teams | |
AB 1012 requires that the Department of Transportation establish four transportation project delivery advisory teams (two in northern California and two in southern California) with the District Directors acting as the team coordinators. Thank you for volunteering to take on this task.

Additionally, the following members are to be nominated by the entities they represent:
Per AB 1012, all project delivery advisory team members must be selected within 60 days of the enactment of the bill (by December 10, 1999). Also, the first meeting of the teams must take place within 90 days of enactment (January 9, 2000). Each team shall deliver a final report to the Governor no later than 180 days after the initial team meeting. Karla Sutliff has been named the AB 1012 Project Manager. I recommend that she attend your team meetings to lend support and some statewide consistence. Once you have identified the team members to be selected by Caltrans, please coordinate with Karla to get Headquarters approval. Once the teams are established, move forward with the required meetings and report preparation keeping me informed of your team's progress via Karla. If you have any questions concerning the advisory teams or any component of AB 1012, please contact Karla at (916) 653-5107 or CALNET 8-473-5107.
