Del Norte County

Route 101 (43.6/45.9) – A highway widening project from Indian Road/Road 309A to Ocean View Drive will continue.  One-way traffic control will be in effect 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.  Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.  Contractor – Tidewater Contractors, Incorporated of Brookings, Oregon   LC#C101ZD

Route 199 (11.0/11.8) – Replacement of Hardscrabble Bridge will continue.  Work hours are 7AM to 3PM, weekdays.  Intermittent full road closures will be in effect.   Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays. Contractor – American Civil Constructors of Benecia.   LC#C199KB

Route 199 (27.0/27.5) – A curve realignment project from 1.0 mile east to 0.5 miles east of Idlewild Maintenance Station Road will continue.  One-way traffic control with a temporary signal is in effect 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.   Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays. Humboldt County

Route 101 (5.9/27.1) – Caltrans will continue routine maintenance from the South Fork Eel River Bridge to the Eagle Point Viaduct.  Work hours are 8AM to 4:30PM, weekdays.  Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel.  Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.   LC#M101GA

Route 101 (8.4/11.1) – Paving from 0.2 miles south to 2.4 miles north of Benbow will resume on Monday, August 18 and Tuesday, August 19.  Work hours are 6AM to 12 midnight, weekdays.  Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel.  Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns. Route 101 (32.5/32.9) – Hillside stabilization from 0.7 miles south of Weott to 0.3 miles south of Weott will continue.  Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.  Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.  Contractor – Van Meter Logging of Redding.  LC#C101OV

Route 101 (33.4/36.0) – Installation of metal beam guardrail from Weott to Dyerville will continue.  Work hours are 7AM to 6PM, weekdays.  Southbound traffic will be restricted to one lane.  Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns. Contractor – Mercer Fraser of Eureka.  LC#C101DE

Route 101 (35.7/37.6) – A culvert rehabilitation project from High Rock Road Undercrossing to South Fork Road Undercrossing will continue.  Work hours are 7:30AM to 5:30PM, weekdays.  Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel.  Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns. Route 101 (39.8/43.0) – Sinkhole repair at approximately 2 miles north of Redcrest will continue. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.  Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.  LC#M101CA

Route 101 (75.1/78.8) – A pavement repair project from 0.1 miles south of the K-Mart entrance to K Street will continue.  Work hours are 7PM to 7AM, Sunday evening through Friday morning.  Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel.  Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.  Contractor – Stimpel Wiebelhaus of Redding.  LC#C101DF

Route 101 (111.5/112.0) – A pavement repair project from 1.0 to 0.5 miles south of Kane Road will continue.  One-way traffic control with a temporary signal is in effect 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.  Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays.  Contractor – Granite Construction of Arcata.  LC#C101DA

Route 299 (22.5/29.1) – A paving project from Redwood Creek Bridge to Titlow Hill Road will continue.  Work hours are 7AM to 5PM, weekdays.  One-way traffic control will be in effect.  Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.  Contractor – Mercer Fraser of Eureka.  LC#C299DA


Lake County

Route 20 (0.6/9.4) – A paving project from Old State Highway to Polk Jones Cattlepass will continue.  Work hours are 7PM to 3PM, Sunday evening through Friday afternoon.  One-way traffic control will be in effect.  Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.  Contractor – Argonaut Constructors of Santa Rosa.  LC#C20GK

Route 20 (24.0/34.0) – Caltrans will continue routine maintenance from 0.2 miles east of Linden Street to 0.3 miles east of New Long Valley Road.  Work hours are 8AM to 4:30PM, weekdays.  One-way traffic control will be in effect.  Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.   LC#M20BA

Route 20 (38.5/42.0) – A roadway realignment project from 1.4 miles east of the North Fork Cache Creek Bridge to 1.6 miles west of Walker Ridge Road will continue.  Work hours are 7AM to 6PM, weekdays.  One-way traffic control will be in effect.  Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.  Contractor – Argonaut Constructors of Santa Rosa.  LC#C20ZE

Route 29 (16.6) – AT&T of Ukiah has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work 0.3 miles north of Murphy Spring Road Monday, August 18 through Wednesday, August 29 from 9AM to 3PM.  One-way traffic control will be in effect.  Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays.  LC#P29CA

Route 29 (20.3/34.6) – A paving project from the junction of Route 29/53 and Kelseyville Road will continue.  Work hours are 7PM to 3:30PM, Sunday evening through Friday afternoon. One-way traffic control will be in effect.  Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.  Contractor – Granite Construction of Ukiah.  LC#C29HC

Route 29 (37.6/45.2) – Bridge rehabilitation from the Adobe Creek Bridge to the Park Way Overcrossing will continue.  One-way traffic control will be in effect 24 hours per day, Monday through Friday.   Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.  Contractor – American Civil Constructors of Benecia.   LC#C29IC, C29JC, C29KC

Route 175 (8.3/28.0) – Caltrans will perform routine maintenance from the junction of Route 29/175 in Kelseyville to the junction of Route 29/175 in Middletown beginning Tuesday, August 19.  Work hours are 7AM to 4:30PM, weekdays.  One-way traffic control will be in effect.  Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.   LC#M175AA


Mendocino County

Route 1 (50.6/51.5) – Mendocino Unified School District has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit to install a water between Jackson Street and Lansing Street.   Work hours are 9AM to 3PM, weekdays.  Turns onto Little Lake Road will be restricted.  Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns. Route 1 (60.8/62.3) – A paving project from Walnut Street to Pudding Creek Road will continue. Work hours are 7AM to 5PM, weekdays.  Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel.  Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.  Contractor – Argonaut Constructors of Santa Rosa.  LC#C1HC

Route 1 (62.8) – Utility installation will continue at Airport Road.  Work hours are 6AM to 4:30PM, weekdays.  One-way traffic control will be in effect.  Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.  Contractor – BRCO Constructors of Loomis.  LC#C1AC

Route 20 (0.6/2.3) – A highway widening project from Old Willits Road to Gravel Pitt Road will continue.  Work hours are 7AM to 3PM, weekdays.  One-way traffic control will be in effect.  Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays. Contractor – Argonaut Constructors of Santa Rosa.   LC#C20JK

Route 101 (0.0/9.2) – A paving project from the Mendocino/Sonoma County line to the Russian River Bridge will continue.  Work hours are 7AM to 5PM, weekdays.  Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel.  Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.  Contractor – Eric Gutierrez of Sacramento.  LC#C101FG

Route 101 (3.1/4.5) – A pavement repair project from 0.1 miles north to 1.5 miles north of Comminsky Station Road will continue. Northbound traffic will be restricted to one lane 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns. LC#M101DA

Route 101 (9.2/13.2) – Solar Living Institute of Hopland has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit to provide traffic control for the annual Sol Fest event from 0.5 miles south of Eastside Road to 0.1 miles south of the CAL FIRE station on Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17, from 9AM to 9PM.  A shoulder closure will be in effect.  Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.  LC#P101KA

Route 101 (17.2/21.3) – A paving project from Nelson Road to the junction of Route 101/253 will continue.  Work hours are 7AM to 7PM, weekdays.  Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel.  Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.  Contractor – Eric Gutierrez of Sacramanto.  LC#C101VG

Route 101 (35.8/37.5) – Roadway repair due to pavement deterioration from 3.6 miles south of Ridgewood Ranch Road to 1.9 miles south of Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns. LC#M101KA

Route 101 (42.1/42.4) – Bridge deck rehabilitation on the South Willits Overhead will continue.  Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel 24 hours per day, Monday through Friday.  Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.   Contractor – American Civil Constructors of Benecia.   LC#C101AH

Route 101 (45.4/47.1) – Caltrans will perform routine maintenance from Alder Lane to State Street beginning Monday, August 18.  Work hours are 6AM to 1PM, weekdays.  Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel.  Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.  LC#M101BA

Route 101 (64.7/69.1) – A paving project from Long Valley Creek Bridge to Harmon Drive will continue. Work hours are 6AM to 12 midnight, weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.  Contractor – Mercer Fraser of Eureka.  LC#C101ND

Route 101 (69.3/69.9) – A curve improvement project will continue.  On Friday, August 15, work hours are 7:30AM to 5PM.  Beginning 6 AM Monday, August 18 and continuing through 6PM Monday, August 25, work hours are 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Route 101 (78.4) – North Coast Environmental Construction of Eureka has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for diesel cleanup near Spyrock Road through Friday, August 15.  Work hours are 8AM to 5PM, weekdays.  One-way traffic control will be in effect.  Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays.  LC#P101IA

Route 101 (99.2/100.7) – Construction of a retaining wall near Confusion Hill will continue through Friday, August 15.  Work hours are 6:30AM to 5PM, weekdays.  One-way traffic control will be in effect. Route 162 (0.0/0.1) – Bridge deck rehabilitation on the Long Valley Creek Bridge will continue.  Work hours are 7PM to 7AM, Sunday evening through Friday morning.  One-way traffic control will be in effect.  Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.  Contractor – American Civil Constructors of Benecia.   LC#C162DB

Please keep in mind work on all these projects is weather permitting and subject to change. Caltrans wishes to advise motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above. (Bold type denotes a change from the previous bulletin.)
