Northbound State Route 15 Connector to Interstate 8 Closed Monday Night
SAN DIEGO—Construction crews will close the northbound State Route 15 (SR-15) connector ramp to eastbound and westbound Interstate 8 (I-8) on Monday from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, according to Caltrans. The closure is needed to accommodate paving activities as part of the SR-15 Commuter Bikeway Project.
Detour signage will be placed directing motorists on northbound SR-15 to continue north and exit at westbound Friars Road and then merge onto the I-8 on-ramp.
The following closures will be in place on SR-15 between Adams Avenue and I-8 on Monday at 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. Tuesday:
- Adams Avenue on-ramp to northbound SR-15
- Camino Del Rio South off-ramp from northbound SR-15
- One lane on northbound SR-15 between Adams Avenue and I-8
Travelers are reminded to slow when highway workers are present with amber lights flashing and to Be Work Zone Alert.
Nearby residents can expect intermittent lights and noise from construction activities during the evening and into the early morning. Crews will work to minimize impacts to nearby businesses, residents, and commuters. Construction schedules are subject to change.
